National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan for Settlements and Infrastructure - First edition
NCCARF developed a National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan (NARP) for Settlements and Infrastructure in 2010 to identify research required to provide decision makers within government, industry and communities with the information they need to effectively respond and adapt to the impacts of climate change on settlements and infrastructure.
This NARP was updated in 2012 to reflect the contribution of new research to practitioner knowledge needs, as well as the evolving requirements of practitioners.
Climate change poses significant threats to the social fabric of our towns and cities and to our urban and strategic infrastructure. It is likely to result in increased damage to buildings, energy, telecommunications, transport and water infrastructure and the services they provide.
