Week starting:
Monday, January 17, 2011

This week in NCCARF, we had a look to see how many nominations we have received so far for our Adaptation Champions. We have received thirteen, and there is still more than a month to go. It’s very exciting to know that people are really giving this some thought. So if you know of someone, or a group, taking action to respond to climate change, let us know. Have a look at the webpage here.

Also this week, we will close the call for expressions of interest for research into terrestrial biodiversity and climate change adaptation. Very shortly, we will begin the process of evaluating the proposals received. We’re looking forward very much to putting in place a world-leading program of research into the challenges which face terrestrial ecosystems and their management under climate change. This program should be fully operational around the middle of the year. Click here for more information.
