Queensland Coastal Plan

The new Queensland Coastal Plan came into in effect from 3 February 2012. It has a range of adaptation provisions that need to be considered by local governments and developers in the State. As is stated on their website the Plan "replaces the State Coastal Management Plan (2001) and associated regional coastal management plans. The Queensland Coastal Plan has been prepared under the Coastal Protection and Management Act 1995. It includes a state planning policy under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
