Infrastructure, Planning and Climate Change Adaptation

This is an ABC radio podcast from the Late Night Live program.  "The recent spate of floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and the nuclear accident in Japan are a reminder of how interconnected our energy, transport, water and communications systems have become. Which is why future infrastructure investment needs to take climate change into account."

Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Framework

The report contains the UK Highways Agency's Climate Change Adaptation Framework. Although a small number of transport-specific climate change risks are shown, this report focuses on the framework needed. The framework includes how priorities are give to actions (e.g. based on level of disruption) and includes a simple method for the rationale behind choosing a preferred option for the management of climate change risks.

Risk Management for Roads in a Changing Climate: A Common European Approach

A presentation outlining risks and threats to road networks in the face of climate change and potential design and adaptation measures which may help to mitigate risks. Contains diagrams for engineers and managers of road networks.
