Event Date:
Thursday, May 30, 2013 - 10:00am to 5:00pm

The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF) was established in 2008 to lead the Australian research community in generating the information needed by governments, business and the community to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

NCCARF will launch its full research portfolio on Thursday, 30 May 2013. Government decision makers and the private sector in particular are encouraged to come along to the launch seminars to gain an appreciation of the types of research results now available on climate change adaptation and to learn how to access this knowledge.

As part of the launch, NCCARF will host three seminar sessions designed to provide further detail on the climate change adaptation challenge and how the research can contribute in a practical way to dealing with the challenge from the perspective of:

11:00am - 12:15pm: Learning from extreme weather events

Dr. Matthew Mason from Macquarie University
Dr. Sarah Boulter from Griffith University

1:00pm - 2:30pm: Enabling adaptation barriers and opportunities
