Node 3 - Built Environment, Innovation and Institutional Reform

  • The development of a integrated perspectives on the adaptation of the built environment in terms of adaptation in the construction, management and consumption of buildings (both residential and non-residential) as major components of settlement structure.
  • This node will draw upon the specialist skills of UNSW's Faculty of Built Environment (FBE) staff, including Professor Deo Prasad (Sustainable Buildings), Professor Rob Freestone (Planning Systems), Professor James Wheirick (Sustainable Landscape Design), Professor Martin Loosemore (Facilities Management) and Professor Sid Newton (Building and Construction).
  • Professor Stephen Dovers of the Fenner School of Society and Environment at ANU will be involved with innovation of institutional and industry capacities regarding adaptation to climate change.
