Terrestrial Biodiversity

Adaptation is needed to minimise negative impacts on biodiversity and realise potential opportunities. It will involve modifications to current management practices, including the networking of protected areas, restoration of essential habitats and in some cases, engineered strategies to increase the resilience of species or systems to change. NCCARF has funded almost $3 million worth of research to address the priorities identified in the National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan for Terrestrial Biodiversity.
