Climate change poses direct and indirect risks to human health, including injury and death arising from extreme events, shifts in the range of infectious disease, and mental and physical health consequences from social and economic disruption. NCCARF has, through the National Health and Medical Research Council, to date funded projects to the value of almost $2.8 million.
