Sep 15: Call for Abstracts - Settlements & Infrastructure National Forum & Workshop, Nov 9-11

Call for Abstracts

The Adaptation Research Network for Settlements & Infrastructure will host its second National Forum and Workshop at the University of New South Wales, Sydney from 9-11 November 2009.

The workshop will provide a unique opportunity for Australian research students studying engineering, science, built environment, economics and business to meet fellow researchers in other Australian universities. Policies and research directions are some of the fields to be addressed at this important Forum. The forum will enable researchers to discover the broad range of climate change adaptation research being carried out in Australia, and provide an opportunity to influence the future direction of climate change adaptation research in Australia.

Student opportunities

The Network invites applications from talented research students at Australian universities with an interest in climate change adaptation research related specifically to Settlements and Infrastructure - distance from Sydney is no barrier to participation.

Thirty successful applicants will be approved funding to cover travel, accommodation and expenses to attend the Forum at UNSW. Successful applicants will be required to give a fifteen minute presentation expanding on their abstract, and to contribute to the Forum discussion with other students and Network members.

Submission Guidelines

To apply, please download the Registration Form below and email with an abstract of up to 250 words to accarnsi@unsw.edu.au before 12 October 2009.
