National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan - Settlements and Infrastructure

The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan for Settlements and Infrastructure has now been completed and released. 

The development of this Plan was led by the following drafting team:

  • Associate Professor Darryl Low Choy (Griffith University)
  • Professor John McAneney (Macquarie University)
  • Professor Jan McDonald (Griffith University)
  • Mr Michael Nolan (Maunsell AECOM)
  • Professor Barbara Norman (University of Canberra)
  • Professor Jonathan Nott (JCU)
  • Professor Tim Smith (USC)
  • Dr Florence Crick (NCCARF Secretariat)

Stakeholder consultation workshops were held in April and May 2009 to obtain valuable feedback on the development of the Plan.

Each Research Plan is accompanied by an Implementation Plan, which looks at the landscpe of research in Australia for the sector, in terms of both the purchasers and the providers.

Alongside the National Adaptation Research Plan, NCCARF has established an Adaptation Research Network for Settlements & Infrastructure. Together, these initiatives will address climate change adaptation needs in the arena of settlements & infrastructure.
