National Adaptation Research Plan - Emergency Management
The National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan (NARP) for Emergency Management has now been approved and may be downloaded by clicking on the link below. Each Research Plan is accompanied by an Implementation Plan, which looks at the landscape of research in Australia for the sector, in terms of both the purchasers and the providers. If you would like any further information on this Plan, please contact Frank Stadler on f.stadler@griffith.edu.au tel: 07 5552 7268.
The Australian Government made available $2m to fund research addressing the priorities identified in the NARP. Calls for Expressions of Interest in these grants has now closed. Visit this site regularly for updates on research opportunities.
Alongside the National Adaptation Research Plan, NCCARF has established an Adaptation Research Network for Emergency Management. Together, these initiatives will address climate change adaptation needs in the arena of disaster management and emergency services.
Networks are currently being established for all eight priority themes within NCCARF. Please follow this link Adaptation Research Network - Emergency Management for further information about this Network.
